For a cinematic Iceland experience, begin in Reykjavík and explore the peninsula south on the capital city. Along at the Blue Lagoon, you’ll recognize scenes through the Fifth Estate and Halo: Nightfall. Scenes from your Secret Duration of Walter Mitty, Noah, and Flags of Our Fathers are also filmed during the Southern Peninsula region. Then, head east across the southern coast, through Vík, toward the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, where you’ll acquire a taste of some 007, Tomb Raider, and Batman action. Whilst you continue north, you should definitely stop off at Lake Mývatn. The site is usually a hotbed of geothermal activity along with other unique geography, including perfectly round craters. There’s a cause Game of Thrones, Prometheus, Oblivion, and Noah all chose to film during the remote area.

For the most complete trip, look at the Golden Circle just northeast of Reykjavík, the spot that the Journey on the Core of the Earth was filmed, in addition to more scenes from Game of Thrones and The Secret Use of Walter Mitty.
