Scotland
Timeless Castle
Stay in the South Wing of Timeless Castle and you’ll feel like you've stepped back in time. There are five separate apartments for renting singularly or as part of a larger group, and you can also take part in an exclusive tour of the 17th-Century castle led by a member of the Maitland family.
Take it up a notch and book a private dinner in the vaulted cellars or the magnificent State Rooms, allowing you to enjoy that extra 'royal' feel.
England
Broughton Hall
A quintessentially English home in the Yorkshire Dales, Broughton Hall has 17 classically decorated bedrooms (six with four-poster beds) across the upper two floors. The ground floor is perfect for entertaining, boasting a saloon, billiards room, gallery and two drawing rooms – one coming complete with a piano.
To dine like royalty too, book Broughton Hall as a fully catered stay. Dry martinis all round!
Cotswold Manor Estate
This country estate near Stow-on-the-Wold is draped in history; there are four properties onsite, including the Barn, Granary, Cow Byre, and Manor House – which has been privately owned since the 15th century.
The whole estate is encompassed within award-winning gardens designed by Jinny Blom, who was personally chosen by the Prince of Wales to design the 'Healing Garden' at the 2002 Chelsea Flower Show. The interiors give off a distinct majestic vibe, and there's even a framed photo of the Queen!
Chevalier's Gatehouse
Chevalier's Gatehouse has welcomed the likes of King Edward V, Charles I and Sir John Betjeman into its grounds – and now it’s your turn. There are tapestries inside the hamlet that honour Charles I's son, Prince Rupert, who slept at the Gatehouse while commanding royalist troops during the Civil War.
Found within the Grade I listed Chevaliers Estate, alongside the Moat House and Coach House, this stunning property boasts a Tudor style that has remained intact throughout the years.
St Peter’s Court
This Grade II listed Tudor-style home is truly fit for a king. Enter through the medieval door and discover an antique-filled jewellery box of a house, featuring tapestries, elaborate fireplaces, a vintage piano and library playroom. When you're ready to feast, the grand dining room is the perfect setting for you and your loyal subjects and/or family.
There's also a refurbished 12th-century church and conservation area nearby – perfect for exploring with the corgies in tow!
Elizabethan Manor
Boasting Queen Elizabeth I among its former guest list, the aptly named Elizabeth Manor has a welcomingly rustic feel with its exposed wooden beams and soft furnishings. Originally built in 1252, and situated in the equally historic village of Pulborough, this family-friendly home comes with a spacious walled garden, barbeque area, heated swimming pool and tennis court. However, our favourite feature is undeniably the master bedroom’s glossy copper roll-top bath.
Wales
Jacobean Manor
When you visit Jacobean Manor, you’ll instantly begin to imagine the stories and conversations that the house has played witness to over the years. This Grade I listed building’s walls are adorned with a collection of family portraits, while 100 acres of private land surround the property, complete with a Victorian walled garden and a 17th-century barn.
If you'd like to organise any themed activities, clay pigeon shooting and birds of prey are available as an added extra. Prince Philip would be in his element!
